I am a huge fan of trendy and chic brunch spots and PUR & SIMPLE has easily become one of my holy grails! This breakfast and lunch spot has such a relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere with delicious and aesthetically beautiful food and drink items! I had the pleasure of visiting and trying some amazing items, so keep reading to see what I got and why this needs to be a spot you visit very soon!
First off, as soon as you walk in the decor is so bright and fresh! There is a green, white and yellow theme just adding to the overall fresh and clean feel of the entire restaurant! There are accent walls and an LED sign that says “Always look at the Sunny Side” which is so refreshing and a positive gesture to begin your day!
There was so much to choose from on there menu and first decided on drinks! I really needed an energy boost, so I decided to go with the Mango Tango Smoothie! It had mangos, banana, Greek yogurt and pineapple juice, it was the perfect balance of sweet and citrus! It was a perfect thickness and a great way to start my morning! I also had a Vanilla Latte, I absolutely love coffee and this latte was so delicious, it was served topped with chocolate sprinkles or cinnamon! Both of these drinks complimented the food items we got so well!
Their menu is vast and has so many options to choose from, they take pride in catering to the halal audience and ensuring that every item served is of the best quality! You are able to change items due to dietary preference and make certain the meal is right for you! All their meat options can be subbed for chicken which is halal and very inclusive!
First up, I got the Chicken and Waffles, this includes a crispy chicken breast served with honey mustard sauce and P&S potatoes! Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty! Their P & S potatoes were superb, they were the perfect side dish, it wasn’t oily, it felt light and healthy! The waffles were not too sweet and paired so well with the savoury chicken! This dish was such an amazing combination and was really well balanced!
Next, I ordered something a little sweeter! The Triple Berry Pancakes were so beautiful. It consists of blueberry pancakes and is topped with so much colour because it is decked out with strawberries, blueberries, English Cream, whipped cream and fresh mint! The pancakes were so soft and fluffy, and were really a stand out item! If you want a picture for IG, this is the item you NEED to get! It’s so beautiful and tasty, there is nothing that is more natural, fresh and delicious! Trust me, it’s amazing!
Lastly, I got the Oh La La crepe, this gorgeous crepe has strawberries, bananas, hazelnut chocolate and English Cream! This was again another beautifully presented dish, it tasted just as good as it looked! The crepe was the perfect texture and really thin and light! The fruits were so sweet and fresh! It really does not get better than this!
If I haven’t sold you already, they have so much more on their menu from gourmet omelets like, their veggie omelet made with Guacamole, mushrooms, baby spinach, roasted red peppers, scallions and goat cheese, to skillets, breakfast handhelds, French toast, different variations of avocado toast, like there avocado lox, made with 2 poached eggs, guacamole, smoked salmon, red onions, capers, tomatoes and snow pea sprouts! And if the items that I tried are any indication to how beautiful their food is going to be presented then I’m sure the avocado toast is going to be stunning!
As mentioned they do cater to different dietary preferences, the halal audience being a main priority, any of their meats can be subbed for halal chicken! They are also inclusive of the keto community, there is a keto meal that has 2 eggs with bacon, lettuce, avocado, goat cheese, red & green peppers and red onions. Served with seasonal berries and roasted almonds!
I can not rave about Pur & Simple enough, they are hands down one of the best brunch spots in the GTA! You will want to go in and experiencing there restaurant but if you want to eat in the comfort of your own home they also have amazing takeout! You need to check them out, you will not regret it!
