This year we planned to celebrate the holidays by seeing The Nutcracker! This famous ballet is known as a holiday classic and is a tradition for many during Christmas time!
We booked our tickets online and reserved our allotted seats! We arrived at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, just under an hour before the 7pm showtime! We parked underground for quick access in and out of the venue, it was a quick walk up and it was starting to get a bit busy as the show time was quickly approaching!
When we entered the initial doors they checked out vaccine records, ensuring that we were fully vaccinated and then scanned our tickets! The staff at the front were incredibly friendly and really started the experience off on a high note! The centre was really beautiful, it had a huge staircase and a great atmosphere!

We had some time to kill before heading into the theatre, so we picked up some refreshments. There were some cookies and treats, as well as soda, wine and other light snacks for sale! We got a cookie as well as a glass of wine and enjoyed a bit more of the atmosphere before heading inside. There was an announcement as well as a bell to indicate we had 5 more minutes to make our way into the theater. We took the elevator to our level and went through our designated door. Our seats were pretty easy to find.

The seats were a bit close and small but due to no in and out during the performance you did not need to move around much. It was warm and comfortable as well. Once the first act started it was absolutely encapsulating! The first act flew by, there were so many characters and my favourite part was the change in setting!

After a 20 minute intermission, they picked up right where they left off and it was amazing. This act had the introduction of the Sugar Plum Fairy, she was by far my personal favourite, she danced so gracefully and had a lot of great storytelling with The Nutcracker!

It was over before I knew it, it was such a great experience I can’t wait to return!
Sincerely, Celine!
