VISITING WINTERFEST AT CANADA’S WONDERLAND!

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, there is no better place than at Winterfest at Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughn! They transformed the entire grounds into a complete holiday dream! It looks like it’s straight out of a Hallmark movie!

There are so many festive things to do, see and eat here! We started by stopping by the Winterfest sign and taking some photos. It was so beautiful and had a clear view of the skating rink and mountain that was completely decked out with many lights!

Then we made our way over to The Jingle Bar! When we got there, it had no line so we were about to walk right in! There were so many drinks to choose from, both alcoholic, non-alcoholic and cold and hot! We got a Spiked Gourmet Hot Chocolate, you were able to include a choice of either Baileys or Rum! We also got one of their cocktails, there were so many great ones to choose from like Frost’s Freeze, The Scrooge, Holiday Limeade, Sugar Cookie Eggnog and Winter Blue! I decided to go with the Holiday Limeade! The Jingle Bar was so comfortable, there were tables inside to stand and enjoy our drinks, it was warmer than outside and there was some live music as well! It was really entertaining and the drinks were very tasty!

Then we headed over to get some snacks! A staple food item at Wonderland are the funnel cakes! For Winterfest they had some specialty versions of their funnel cakes, we had the gingerbread funnel cake and the eggnog funnel cake! It was so delicious but there was very limited seating and it was outdoor so it got cold really fast so you need to eat quickly!

Next, we walked through the Christmas market. This was an indoor/outdoor market with many booths, these varied from food stalls to party supplies! Some of the booths included pastries and donuts, cotton candy, scarfs and hats, hair clips and accessories and much much more!

After the market, we made our way back to the front entrance for the grand tree lighting which happens at 5:30pm! It was a quick and beautiful show, they had singers and dancers that were performing a mashup of holiday tunes! They had a countdown to light up the two 20-foot trees and the rest of the main walkway! It was absolutely beautiful and truly an amazing experience!

Lastly, we made our way to the other side of the park labelled ‘The North Pole” for the Northern Starlight experience! This is a 100-foot tunnel that is fully decorated with LED lights and makes for the perfect photos!

Although it was very cold, it was also so much fun! If you do plan on visiting, dress very warm, pack on the layers and throw on all the winter gear you can find!

Sincerely, Celine!
